1. Lasso Tool - A good helper for hand-drawn selection area Function: Allows you to freely draw an area in the image and select the part you want to adjust.
Three types: • Free Lasso Tool - Like drawing a circle with a pen, suitable for quick circle selection.
• Polygonal Lasso Tool - Draw straight lines little by little, suitable for selecting graphics with "clear boundaries" (such as buildings).
• Magnetic Lasso Tool - Automatically "stick" to the edge of the image, suitable for use when the color contrast between the object and the background is obvious.
Analogy: It's like using scissors to cut out the shape you want. Cut freely and accurately, depending on which "scissors" you choose. ▶️ Tutorial video: How to use the Lasso tool ⸻ 2. Pen Tool - A professional tool for drawing precise paths Function: The Pen Tool can draw paths from scratch and is often used for cutting, tracing, and drawing fine shapes.
Operation tips: • Drag directly after adding points to form a curve • The fewer points, the smoother the path
Analogy: It's like drawing lines on a canvas with a pen. Where to turn and where to be smooth depends on the way you "put the pen down". ⸻ 3. Layer - Editing method like stacking paper Function: Layers are like transparent sheets of drawing paper. Each sheet can be edited separately without interfering with each other.
Advantages: • Modifying one layer will not affect other parts • Non-destructive editing is possible, which makes it easy to go back or adjust at any time
Analogy: Imagine that you are making a paper collage, and each piece of paper is superimposed on top of each other, but you can always remove a piece and modify it separately without destroying the overall composition.
COMPOSITION
This collage mainly combines realistic urban buildings with the dreamy image of fighting fish, creating a sense of "spiritual floating above the structure of reality". Fish symbolize freedom and flow, as if swimming among the city's high-rise buildings, creating a tension between oppression and flow, order and dreams.
The typewriter in this collage symbolizes the process of concretization of thoughts, and the fish and plants are interspersed in it, forming the flow and growth of consciousness. The black and white lines in the background are like the flow of brain waves, which means that the creative inspiration shuttles between reality and fantasy.
The background of this collage creates a feeling of being on Mars/the Moon. They represent the distant, mysterious and technological frontiers respectively, while the vending machines, subways and advertisements symbolize the daily trivialities of urban life on Earth. Through visual conflicts, the collage triggers the question of "whether the future city will still be ordinary." The blurred speeding train symbolizes the rapid progress of science and technology and the flow of information; while the stationary vending machine next to it seems to remind people that even if technology has changed geography, our living habits and consumption patterns still continue the old track.
The symbol of modern civilization is combined with the scene of doomsday ruins to create a visual dislocation of science fiction zombie themes. The judicial building in the picture symbolizes order and power, while the suspended old-fashioned projector is like a surveillance device from the past or alien space, calmly watching the collapse of civilization. The gray rock surface and rusty walls in the background present a texture of desolation and virus pollution, as if this is a place that was abandoned after the zombie virus raged, but was still watched and recorded by "some power".This picture expresses: in the doomsday ruins, the traces left by civilization are still standing, and what is really scary is that the "watching" has never stopped.

The size, position and closeness of the point have a great influence on the composition of the design. • Line : Line it can be straight, curved or broken line. The thickness, length and direction of the line can express different emotions and intentions. • Shapes: Shapes can be divided into geometric and organic shapes (irregular, the outlines of natural objects). Shapes can also express emotions. For example, circles often bring a sense of smoothness and non-aggression, while sharp corners may bring tension. • Textures : Textures affects the touch, visual effect and overall atmosphere, such as wood, metal, glass, cloth, etc. • Space : Reasonable use of space can create visual balance and rhythm, enhanc...
